Replacing a MVHR filter
Everything eventually wears down. For a maximum of comfort and efficiency, it is important to replace your MVHR filters on time. Replacing your filters ensures:
- A healthy environment. Clean air filters ensure clean air ducts. They filter a large amount of dust and bacteria from the air coming into your house.
- Noise reduction and energy saving. If the filters are clogged, the system will automatically start running at a higher rpm. This does not only cause an unpleasant noise in your house, it also raises the energy consumption.
- An ideal atmospheric humidity. If the air is too dry or too wet, it can have an adverse effect on man, animal and plant. A well-functioning MVHR ventilation system ensures an ideal indoor climate.
Maintenance advice
TOPS MVHR-filters advises to replace your filters every six months and in case of newly built houses every four months. Check your filters on a regular basis and, if necessary, you can clean them using a vacuum cleaner on the lowest setting so your filters won't damage. NB: never clean air filters with water or any other liquid!
